We keep this simple: we use a small number of first-party cookies that are required for HeroBind to work, plus first-party analytics that help us understand how the product is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track our users for advertising purposes.

These cookies are strictly necessary for HeroBind to work — they keep a parent securely signed in to their account. They cannot be switched off, because the service cannot function without them.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also set technical cookies (for example, __cf_bm) for infrastructure security, bot detection, and DDoS protection. These are set by Cloudflare, not HeroBind, and are not used to track users for advertising purposes.
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how HeroBind is used (for example, which features are popular and where errors occur) so we can improve it. PostHog stores identifiers in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage. We have configured analytics so that anything typed into input fields is masked and never recorded.
Analytics events are associated only with the parent's account. Child profiles are never identified in analytics, and no child personal information — names or anything they type — is sent to PostHog.
The HeroBind mobile app displays our Website inside the app and uses the same essential sign-in cookie and analytics storage described above, stored securely on your device so a parent stays signed in between uses. The mobile app does not use advertising cookies or any additional tracking technologies.
No. HeroBind is a service for families and we do not show advertising of any kind. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not allow third parties to place advertising or tracking cookies through our Website or app, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
